10 Futures by Michael Pryor (release date 2nd April 2012)
“Synopsis:
Sam and Tara. Best friends in a future when artificial intelligence organises our lives, and micropets are the latest craze. Best friends when rationing means cold showers and no internet. Best friends when genetic matching makes asking a girl on a date a minefield of epic proportions.
But will they still be best friends in a future when plague wipes out most of humanity? Or a future when the Inquisitor asks Sam to choose one betrayal over another?
Michael Pryor, one of Australia’s best authors of speculative fiction, imagines what our next 100 years might be like. Utopia or dystopia? Miracle or catastrophe? Whatever might happen, it’s just around the corner. Which future will be yours?”hand me this book already.

Erina here!!
Dora is taking an extended hiatus away from VFW due to real-life commitments, so it’s looking like you’ll be stuck with me for a little while [and I too, have regular life to contend with]…
Here is one of the magic copper insects that I made (remember those awful coppery things that Dr Tremaine used to ensnare Maggie’s Crew and others)
As it turns out, Copper is quite rare (methinks of the prices/availability of Silver in Hour of Need…)
so yeah, for the next few months, pleease be patient with me- I also have lots of other things I have/like to do and running a dedicated fandom blog is harder than it looks… =D
-
Prolix - “tiresomely wordy” Slantendicular - “Oblique, not perpendicular” (i may have broken the internet Googling that one…it said it was ‘slantindicular’) oh yeah, my fellow readers - we have something really special to look forward to.

Read this. Laugh yourself silly and gasp at the prospect of things to come. Repeat.
Repeat again.

After quite a lot of fangirling, indecipherable mumblings and then some… I now present to you: The knowledge of a second Extraordinaires novel.
Yes my fellow Albionites. It really has begun.

Ee Oo Ee Oo Ee Oo EE OO…
…That is the sound of VFW Headquarters (currently: my sunroom)* hyperventilating on seeing THIS:

And here is a close-up of the picture:

The Extinction Gambit, an actual copy! Photographed in front of His Pryority’s Edwardian inspiration wall, no less - the most powerful wall in the Pryor fandom, since it can give him ideas to write about. Wow.
* Speaking of VFW HQ: I am going to Lutetia after my examinations this November, so would anybody like to take over the reins here for a fortnight? If you’re interested, chances are I know you, so just drop me an email at misshepworth@hotmail.com. Also, any time somebody wants to make suggestions and/or criticisms of how I run this site (eg: recent hiatus), feel very free and we can share.

Michael Pryor blogging about doing magic. SAYS IT ALL.
…and just found on his Twitter: TE Lawrence was 21 in 1909. Interesting.
#researchingThere is a word for this: evil. Another: teasing.
